Questions from your industry
What is a T5018 and do I need to file one?
If you’re in construction and pay subcontractors, you generally must report those payments on a T5018. We prepare and file them so you stay compliant.
Can I write off my tools and truck?
Yes, tools, equipment and work vehicles are deductible, often via capital cost allowance and a mileage log. We’ll capture them properly.
Should I put my crew on payroll?
If they’re employees, yes, with proper deductions and remittances. If they’re subcontractors, it’s T5018. We’ll set up whichever is correct.
